About me

I'm a 21 year old from Bangalore who builds things that probably shouldn't exist. I co-founded Shunya Research, a small AI lab working on embodied intelligence. Before that I built a targeting system for military aircraft using War Thunder as a dataset, sent Bitcoin over radio mesh networks without the internet, and simulated a fruit fly's brain in MuJoCo.

I daily drive NixOS on my Thinkpad, I also really like the Nix philosophy. I love listening to Aphex Twin and IDM in general. I also enjoy reading about cybernetics (the science of steering!).

Experience

• ▶ Team Antariksh - Payload Avionics Engineer | October 2024 - December 2025
  I served as the Payload Avionics Engineer at a Team Antariksh, a student rocketry team. During my tenure I worked on the telemetry of our rocket (codename laskhya) payload (codename starguide). We ended up winning first place at the IN-SPACE rocketry competition 2024-2025.
  
  
  
  
• ▶ Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) - Research Intern | July 2025 - September 2025
  During my tenure as a research intern I implemented a ConvLSTM model from scratch to predict rainrate over Kochi from data gathered during the 2018 Kerala monsoon floods. My model managed to reconstruct rainrate plots with 0.8 SSIM score on average. During my time here I also learnt how government agencies work and why they're so inefficient, this has had a significant impact on my career and approach to work.

• ▶ ironeye — AI powered air to surface auto targeting system
  A multi-modal AI system for auto targeting and NLP based control of agents (military aircrafts) simulated in War Thunder. Won 3rd place at HAL Aerothon 2025. Involved making a custom IR camera dataset of military vehicles using a video game.

• ▶ drosophila connectome simulation — Drosophila connectome powered simulation
  A simple experiment testing Hebbian learning on real connectome data extracted from an adult fruit fly's brain. Tested how dopamine affects its actions in a simulated environment using NeuroMechFly2 in MuJoCo. Results matched predictions.
